Fascinating Coin Fact

The leaves and branches that have appeared on United States coins over the years all have special meaning. The three principal varieties are the olive, the laurel and the oak. The olive signifies peace, the oak leaves are a symbol for military power and might, while the laurel leaves indicate the civic duties of government.
